The company wrote about the idea behind HalloApp in a blog, saying that the app is an answer to traditional social platforms that focus on participation. Currently, the app is completely free when it is first launched. Eventually, HalloApp plans to charge users a subscription fee, adopting the profit model of Whatsapp before it was acquired by Facebook.
