Seeing that the beta version of Android 12, which is close to being officially released, has a bunch of useful new features – it can be setDon’t let corner gestures summon the Google AssistantPersonally, I feel that it is actually worth upgrading (XD), plus there are built-inUseful long screenshots、Face detection screen automatically rotatesbesidesQuickly share URLsvarious functions, do you really want to apply for a public test? However, if you are a non-Gboard input method user, you may want to wait a little longer. Because recently the beta version of Android 12 was washed with a large number of system restriction notifications, thought to be a poisoning situation, but it seems that the person responsible for this is “one of our own”…

The beta version of Android 12 was washed with a large number of system restriction notifications, thinking it was poisoned? But it seems that the one who caused the trouble is “one of our own”

First of all, because I have been using Android, I usually install the old version of Google Zhuyin input method instead of using the default Gboard. So it seems to have survived this wave of Android 12 Beta 3 “disaster” (I looked at the Pixel 3 XL in my hand and it was really fine). However, it is reported that many Gboard users have encountered notifications being washed in the recent Android 12 test version.

It is said that many users who upgraded to Android 12 Beta 3 recently suddenly received a large number of “Foreground Service BG-Launch Restricted” notifications. The description of “App restricted: com.google.android.inputmethod.latin” does not clearly indicate which application caused this system notification.

In this regard, some foreign media pointed out that this may be related to Google’s own input method Gboard. Because its program of trying to download multimedia materials such as stickers seems to conflict with Android 12’s new principle that background applications can no longer start the foreground service (Foreground Service). It is said that this situation may only occur in the Gboard version that recently imported Material You-related updates.

It means that since this situation has been widely reported, and the applications and systems that occurred are all developed by Google, I believe that a solution will come soon (should). Before the solution comes, you may consider disabling Gboard (not sure if this solution is feasible) or simply flashing back to the old version of Android temporarily to avoid similar situations affecting the normal use of the phone.
