Recently, LINE has successively released updates for the Android and iOS apps. The Android version was launched on July 6, 2021, and the iOS version was also updated and launched yesterday (12th). This article has also compiled six key points of the LINE 11.11.0 update.
Stickers | Automatic recommendation interface optimization (iOS&Android)
LINE users who have turned on “Preview Stickers” and “Show Suggested Stickers” will find that the background color of the suggested and preview stickers has been adjusted to be more saturated after the update. This change also makes it easier for users to identify these stickers.
*Tips: If you want to turn on “Preview Stickers” and “Show Suggested Stickers”, you can go to the settings button in the upper right corner of the LINE App’s “Home Page” (gear icon in the upper right corner), then select “Stickers”, turn on “Preview Stickers” and “Show Suggested Stickers”.
Location information｜Interface optimization (first available on iOS)
If you want to share your location or specific landmark location with others in a LINE chat room, you can use “location information” to share. After this update, when you click on the map screen, you will find a “Share” button in the upper right corner, making sharing locations more intuitive and faster. In addition, in order to make it easier for users to view the correct address, the map display has also been increased to two lines after the update, so that the complete address of the location can be seen at a glance.
At the same time, the interface of the search for nearby areas function has also been optimized, so that the complete address information of a place can be clearly seen.
LINE Community｜Chat room emoticon design changes (iOS&Android)
The LINE community can reply with emoticons to messages such as chat room-specific dialog boxes, pictures, videos, etc. The chat room emoticon design will also be changed after this update.
LINE Community｜New data deletion interface (currently iOS only)
In the past, we could use the method of deleting the cache to “lose weight” in the LINE App. After the update, we can also delete photos, voice messages and files within a specific time for the LINE community! Just click on the LINE community you want to join, then click on the “≡” button > “Other Settings” > “Delete Data”, and then you can select the items you want to delete.
LINE community｜Sharing path supports LINE community chat room (currently iOS only)
If you are a user of iOS 13 (inclusive) or above, you can directly select the recently used LINE chat room to share when selecting a sharing partner. After this LINE update, in addition to the previous general chat rooms, LINE social chat rooms can also be used as a sharing option!
LINE shopping live broadcast｜Supports “+1” function for leaving messages and purchasing (iOS&Android)
After this update, if you see a product you want to buy during a LINE shopping live broadcast, you only need to follow the live broadcast host’s instructions in the comment area.「+1」, the system will automatically add the ordered items to the shopping cart. After the live broadcast, you can go directly to the shopping cart to check out! Currently, the first phase of LINE’s live shopping “+1” function is open to some official accounts.
