In addition to Google Play, Huawei’s AppGallery app store has also recently been discovered by foreign security personnel to have 10 Joker malwares, which have been installed by nearly 540,000 users. The impact is not small. After installation, they will quietly subscribe to services behind the scenes and make money. If your Android bill suddenly has more subscription fees recently, it may be that these models are at play. Huawei users or those who have downloaded Apps from AppGallery should check it out.

Huawei AppGallery app store has 10 Joker malicious apps
Recently, foreign Dr.WEB researchers released a report for the first time on the discovery of malicious Apps in the Huawei AppGallery app store. The text states that these 10 Apps are somewhat similar to the Joker Trojan software in the past. On the surface, there is no problem at all, and the functions can indeed run normally. However, when the Apps are opened by the user, they will automatically connect to the server to obtain other configurations to implement subscription paid services. In order to prevent users from noticing, these Apps will also intercept SMS and Android notifications on the phone, so you will not see messages such as subscribed.
The researchers also added that each malicious app can subscribe to five more services. The representative said that if all of them were subscribed, the amount would be quite staggering.
The following are the Apps found to have problems this time, ranging from camera applications, Emoji keyboards, communication software, launchers, etc. Most of them are from the same developer:
- Fun Color: Color Touch Effects
- Happy Colour
- All-in One Messenger
- Funney Meme Emoji
- New 2021 Keyboard
- BeautyPlus Camera
- Happy Tapping
- Color RollingIcon
- Super Keyboard
- Camera MX – Photo & Video Camera

Although these 10 Apps have been removed from the Huawei AppGallery app store, users who have installed them on their phones still need to delete them manually. Those who are unsure are advised to check. It is also recommended to check your credit card bill to see if there are any unknown subscription fees. If there are any, file a refund as soon as possible.
