As a new generation of filming tools, GoPro must not only take care of its own shooting capabilities, but also provide editing applications to users, thereby consolidating its status as an action camera and even a Vlog artifact. Can’t find the GoPro app? Because it has merged with Quik!
Originally, wouldn’t it be good if the GoPro app was responsible for the connection and Quik was responsible for the editing? It seems that GoPro still hopes to integrate the two, but it has just changed the former’s App icon directly to Quik, which must have left many people who want to connect the camera suddenly confused. In short, GoPro’s main application has now been merged with the easy-to-use Quik – the latter disappears, and the former is updated directly under the name GoPro Quik.

In fact, this update is not just a name change. The new interface GoPro Quik will use the new Mural interactive service to integrate all imported images and pictures with the timeline concept of wonderful memories – the new feature will also be included in the US$1.99 monthly plan that provides unlimited data backup. And now that the Quik function is integrated, the function that QuickStories used to easily apply templates to automatically cut and match with good music is still provided.
As for the functions originally provided by the GoPro app, which can be connected to the Hero series models and Max for shooting and advanced settings, all of them can still be used through GoPro Quik. Don’t worry about not being able to find these functions – but you have to worry about not being able to find the app after the update because the icon has been changed XD.
