Researcher Ahmed Hassan recently revealed the vulnerability through a blog. He said that by simply using the app with an Android Root device that can fake its own GPS location, it can easily detect the precise location of nearby Telegram users who publicly share it through three-point positioning. In response to such a vulnerability, Hassan asked Telegram for a response, but did not receive a reply. According to information from the ArsTechnica website, the official developer has stated that there are no plans to modify this feature at this stage.
