The topic of two-stage authentication has been quite popular recently – after all, many celebrities have almost said goodbye to their accounts because they slightly neglected the security settings in this area. However, even if the two-stage authentication verification application has a simple function, it will be really painful once it encounters various account services that need to be transferred. Fortunately, the recent update of Google Authenticator has taken into account the trouble of using this aspect and added the function of converting QR Code to a mobile phone to 2FA two-stage authentication. It is a very important existence for modern people, but usually Google Authenticator is quickly forgotten in the corner of the program list after changing the phone.(I almost deleted this accidentally). Despite such a subtle presence, Google is willing to keep it up to date with the mobile system’s recent “Dark Mode” night theme support. More importantly, it also adds a super convenient account transfer function, making the big trouble of changing phones a very simple matter.
Although slightly slower than the Android system, the iOS version of Google Authenticator was finally updated today, bringing a version with the latest theme support and appearance design. The most important point is that you no longer have to log in to the desktop one by one when changing devices. You can directly use QR Code to transfer all 2FA two-stage authentication accounts in Google Authenticator to another device (note: there is still a limit of 10 simultaneous moves at a time).

Although it is the same as mentioned before, these functions and interfaces will probably have to wait until the next time I change my phone before I have a chance to see them again (yuanwang). But I have to say that such convenient functions have really reduced the trouble of changing phones a lot. The biggest point – now that Google has made the authenticator so easy to use, everyone should stop being lazy and enable it for every account that supports two-stage authentication, at least to build a more advanced security protection wall. After all, the problem of account and password leakage is really common nowadays, and it really is an extra layer of protection.
