Recently, an Android App developer discovered a new Android device on the Google Play Console. What’s interesting is that this device actually uses an AMD Ryzen 3 processor. You can guess that this “device” is not an ordinary mobile phone or tablet. It is supposed to be the development codename “Zork”, Google’s upcoming new Chromebook. As a result, it is certain that the chance of AMD processors appearing on the next generation of Chromebooks is extremely high:

AMD has recently launched the Ryzen 3000C series of APUs designed specifically for Chromebooks. Although the processor is available, Google has not yet decided when it will launch Chromebooks with Ryzen 3000C processors. However, the HP Pro c645 Chromebook Enterprise recently launched by HP has taken the lead in using the Ryzen 3 3250C processor. It is only a matter of time before Google launches a new generation of Chromebooks equipped with Ryzen processors.
AMD version of Chromebook has been released, but the launch time has not yet been determined
In addition to being equipped with a Ryzen 3 3250C processor, the “Zork” Chromebook discovered by developers also has other hardware specifications including 4GB of system memory, and the processor integrates a Radeon Vega GPU core. Overall, it should be an entry-level product. As for the higher-end Ryzen 7 3700C processor, it may not be installed on the “Zork”, but there is currently no more information showing which model this processor will be used in. Until more information is obtained, we can only guess that Google plans to use it in higher-end products:

Interestingly, the reason Zork was discovered was because the device was identified as an Android 9 device. Considering that Chrome OS has officially supported Android App execution as early as the year before last, the reason why it was identified as Android 9 may be due to the part of Chrome OS used to simulate the Android system.
In addition to this, the processor model suffix code is C, which also clearly indicates that this is a Chromebook-exclusive processor.
The running scores of “Zork” were exposed on the Geekbench website in April this year, and the currently known specifications mainly come from the data logged into the test website. The specifications of the actual machine are theoretically close to ten, but other information is still in a fog. Although the Chromebook market is not exclusive to Google, and there are major manufacturers such as Acer and HP that share the market share, the products launched by Google are still very attractive in the European and American education markets. Judging from the current information exposure, it is speculated that “Zork” has completed development and is in the process of final adjustments. If there are no other variables, it may be released in the near future.
