When sharing with others, they often copy and paste a long list, which is not only smelly and long, but also unsightly. When writing blog posts, shortened URL hyperlinks are often used. I have always used Bitly URL shortening function before, and recently tried the MergeURL URL shortening service. In addition to quickly generating shortened URLs, multiple link URLs can be merged into a single URL (up to 5 URLs can be merged), which is very useful for reposting multiple URLs, and it is free!

The author has always used Google URL shortening service (goo.gl) and has been using it since its termination. Bitly URL shortening function, there are many free URL shortening services, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. “MergeURL” is a free URL shortening service that is simple and easy to use. The key point is that it can merge multiple URLs into one (up to 5 URLs can be merged), and the generated short URL allows you to open all linked URLs at once. Come and give it a try!

When you enter the official website, you will see the screen below, a large “Merge and Shorten upto 5 links” and the URL input field below.
The method of shortening a URL is very simple. Directly enter or copy the original URL that you want to create a short URL into the field, and click [Merge ans Shorten].
Two short URLs and a QR Code are generated. Click “Download QR” to download the QR image file.
Among the two short URLs, one is “To open” for direct opening, and the other is “To View” for previewing the link. To put it bluntly, the parameters added later are different. One /o/ represents opening, and the other /v/ represents viewing. The picture below shows the screen of clicking the “To View” short URL to view the original URL.
“To open” is to open it directly, but before opening, the pop-up window shown below will appear. Press [OK] to open it.
Since the author is using my blog URL to generate the short URL, of course I open my blog page directly.
MergeURL can merge multiple link URLs into a single URL. Enter the URL to generate a short URL and click [Add]. It only supports merging up to five URLs.
For example, enter three URLs as shown below, and press [Merge ans Shorten] to generate a merged short URL.
The generated merged short URL will also have two short URLs and a QR Code. Just click on the link to open all the merged URLs, which is super convenient.
