Although there are now many AI All tools can use the real-time voice chat feature for free, but when you need to ask more personal questions, you might have privacy concerns. Now there’s a safer option! A network service company that prioritizes privacy protection DuckDuckGoEarlier today, they officially launched their Duck.AI real-time voice chat feature. It also boasts high privacy standards, with guarantees that no audio will be recorded or used to train models—so you can use it with complete peace of mind.

What Is Duck.ai Real-Time Voice Chat? Here’s How It Actually Works

Duck.ai is an AI chat platform launched by DuckDuckGo, emphasizing strong privacy protection and anonymous conversations. Users can chat with multiple large language models (such as GPT-4o mini, Claude, Llama, etc.) without registering an account, and conversation data is never tracked.

Recently, we have newly introduced the “AI real-time voice chat feature,” allowing users to have natural conversations with the AI assistant through voice. All voice data will not be retained, recorded, or used to train AI. Even the backend model can only access audio during real-time processing.

Main features

  • Natural voice interaction, real-time processing
  • Supports real-time voice input and voice reply in conversations.
  • Privacy First
  • Voice data is transmitted via encrypted relay and will not be stored, recorded, or used to train AI.
  • Audio is sent to the backend model in real time as it’s being spoken, automatically transcribed and instantly responded to.
  • Activation is available without logging into an account, and the same applies to voice chat.

Go to Duck.ai

Duck.ai’s real-time voice feature is very easy to use. Click the link above to go to Duck.ai, open the menu in the top left corner, and you’ll see “New Voice Chat Room.” After a few seconds of loading, you can start chatting. No account registration required.

It actually supports Chinese responses. If it only responds in English when you’re using it, you can ask it to switch to Chinese. During voice chat, AI’s voice captions are displayed in real time. After ending the chat, a transcript also appears, and you can choose whether to delete it immediately (by pressing delete transcript below).

Since the response speed was pretty fast, I tested the real-time translation feature. It worked quite well at first, but after a few sentences, it might suddenly switch to answering questions in English instead of translating. This issue could potentially be fixed with prompts, so those who need it can give it a try:

Besides voice chat, I’d also recommend trying out their Duck.ai chat tool. It offers a wide variety of models, including GPT-4o mini, GPT-5 mini, GPT-OSS 120B, Llama 4, Claude 3.5 Haiku, and Mistral Small 3, all available for free:

Duck.ai also offers a paid plan, but it’s only available in certain countries, with support for more models like GPT-4o, GPT-5.1, Claude Sonnet 4.5, and Llama 4 Maverick.
