The new version of the YouTube app has recently been quietly updated with several good features to help you better maintain your digital health. In addition to basic statistical usage time, rest time and bedtime reminders are also introduced. The most considerate thing is that in addition to the basic reminder time interval or designated sleep time settings, YouTube knows that you may not like to be interrupted while watching, so it has also added an option to “wait until the currently watched video ends before displaying the reminder” option during bedtime – eh, it seems that it is recommended not to choose too long videos before going to bed, otherwise this reminder will be useless (XD).
In addition, as the YouTube community grows, some notification functions have become the same as those of Facebook and Twitter. It seems that the frequency is slightly higher, which is a bit annoying? In this regard, the YouTube app has also specially added a new “scheduled notification summary” function, which will change all real-time push notifications to a daily summary for you at once; if you do not want to receive any interruptions during a specific period, you can also select the “disable sound effects and vibration” function – both functions can actually customize the time, but the current UI does not provide a pop-up option.
