The Dynabook PORTEGE X30L-G that I unboxed today has a great background. It was formerly a notebook produced by Toshiba. Later, it was acquired by SHARP Corporation of Hon Hai Group. After Toshiba notebooks were integrated into the company name and brand logo, they merged the company name and brand logo into “Dynabook”, continuing the 30-year lineage of excellent notebooks. This Dynabook PORTEGE X30L-G is Dynabook’s 30th anniversary commemorative notebook. It is designed in Japan and has passed military grade testing. It is equipped with the latest tenth generation Intel Core i5& i7 (optional). In addition, combined with SHARP’s excellent IGZO screen, it provides the advantages of more beautiful colors and low power consumption. The most important thing is that the PORTEGE X30L-G is only 860g, which is very thin and light. What’s new about this Dynabook PORTEGE X30L-G designed in Japan? Next, let’s unbox it and show it to you:

We actually measured PORTEGE X30L-G at 822g, which is quite lightweight and is one of the selling points:

It’s so light that Ada can lift it with three fingers:

The transformer is 240g, and PORTEGE X30L-G supports PD charging, so you can discard the transformer when you go out, which can reduce weight:

Next, let’s look at the body of PORTEGE X30L-G. The color is agate blue and it looks very high-quality. The whole machine is designed with a magnesium aluminum alloy casing. There is also the Dynabook logo below. Anyone with a discerning eye will know that this is an expert:

The thickness of the fuselage is only 17.9mm. Although it is so thin, PORTEGE X30L-G has also passed the military regulation test and can withstand 200 kilograms of surface pressure, which is quite powerful:

The screen part is a 13.3-inch FULL HD IGZO screen with high chroma, high brightness and low power consumption. It also adopts a narrow bezel design and anti-glare surface treatment. It also has a wide viewing angle design of 170 degrees up and down, left and right, which is quite good:

There is also an HD 9-megapixel video lens on the top, which is no problem for conference work or chatting with people:

The PORTEGE X30L-G I got this time is equipped with the latest Intel Core i5-10210U processor, you can also choose i7-10510U, the memory is 8gb ddr4, which can be expanded up to 24GB (8+16), the hard disk is 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD, and the sound effect uses DTS AUDIO PROCESSING, which is quite good for listening to music:

The keyboard uses a full-size backlight function, which is very convenient for working at night. In addition, it has a water-repellent design, so you don’t have to worry about spilling water:

The buttons are also quite easy to press, and your fingers will not feel uncomfortable even after using them for a day at work:

The trackpad supports multi-touch and Windows Hello fingerprint recognition:

The Windows Hello fingerprint recognition function is also very fast, and it unlocks immediately when you put your finger on it:

The I/O part on the left side of the fuselage has the power jack, TYPE-C, HDMI, headset combination hole, and MICRO SD card reader from left to right. In addition to supporting PD charging, the TYPE-C part can also output dual 4K screens through TYPE-C&HDMI for use:

There are USB3.0*2 and RJ-45 network holes on the right side. Such a thin and light model can also have RJ-45 network holes, which is quite impressive:

There is a cooling hole at the back:

There are metal frames as embellishments on both sides of the corners, making the texture look more distinguished:

There is also a heat dissipation hole at the bottom, and the screws are quite easy to remove. However, it is best to contact the original factory for upgrades to avoid warranty disputes. PORTEGE X30L-G also provides an international three-year warranty and a one-year battery warranty. The warranty is very good:

There are also anti-slip pads at the four corners, so the laptop will not move even if the table encounters an impact:

In terms of battery life, the official claims that it can be used for 14.5 hours, and it can be used for 5.5 hours after charging for 30 minutes, which is quite long-lasting!

Intel Core i5-10210U 4 cores and 8 threads is quite sufficient for paperwork or business. It is recommended to upgrade the memory to the highest level for a better experience:

735cb measured using CINEBENCH:

16.3 measured using x264 FHD Benchmark:

Hard drive test

The hard disk part uses SAMSUNG MZVLQ512HALU-00000 512GB M.2 PCIe SSD:

Using CrystalDiskMark to test the hard drive speed, it was measured to read 2304 MB/s and write 1357 MB/s:

Using ATTO Disk Benchmark, I measured 2339 MB/s read and 1290 MB/s write:

Graphics card test

FFXV is used here for low-end running test, and the score is 566. Although PORTEGE X30L-G uses Intel internal graphics, it is still possible to play some games that do not require a large graphics card, but the special effects cannot be turned up:

Endurance test

First, use PCMARK10 to do the overall running score, and get a score of 3748:

I used Modern Office to do a battery life test and measured nearly 9 hours of battery life. Because the testing platforms and methods are different, it is normal that it is different from the official data, but this kind of battery life is still very good:
