It is also recommended that users who need to register a LINE account can use their phone number to register a new LINE account. In addition, the official also announced in advance that Apple account login and device switching functions are currently being developed for iOS users. This function will also be launched for users in the near future.

LINE officially announced that it will stop users from using Facebook accounts to register new LINE accounts in the near future, but in fact this change will only affect new users who have not applied for a LINE account and will later register a LINE account. As for existing LINE users who have previously “logged in” and “switched” with their Facebook account, this change will have no impact.
However, the official also kindly recommends that if your LINE account “only” has a Facebook account binding, it is recommended to go to the settings to bind the “phone number”, “email” and “password” at the same time, because this will make it smoother and simpler when there is a need to change phones in the future.

In addition, in order to make LINE user account login safe and convenient, LINE has recently been developing a login connection function provided by Apple for developers. In the future, it will also be open to iOS users with iOS 13 and LINE iOS version 10.5.0 (inclusive) and above.
In fact, it is the “Sign in with Apple” function announced at WWDC in June 2019. It is foreseeable that in the future, users only need to bind their Apple account in LINE account settings, and then select “Sign in with Apple” when logging in to their LINE account.
