When dining with friends or family, or traveling domestically or abroad, in order to facilitate payment, in most cases one person should pay first, and then everyone should share it equally. If it is only once, there is no problem, but if it is many times, it is a little difficult for the person who pays to calculate the amount, especially sometimes the person has an equal share and sometimes not. This article will recommend a very easy-to-use AA ledger free app, which is specially designed for accounting and splitting consumption. The accounting method is similar to that of ordinary apps, but with the addition of the number of people function, you can specify how many people will share the amount equally. Currently only available on iOS.

AA Ledger is a free app designed for accounting and splitting consumption.
The picture below is the interface of this AA ledger. You can add new characters to the income and expenditure status at the top (press the + in the upper right corner). By default, you are the only one:

Enter your name and specified avatar, and press the upper right corner to complete:

Like this, after adding the people you are traveling with on this trip, or the people you often share equally with, any consumption that needs to be shared equally in the future can be recorded and counted through this set:

The accounting operation is also very simple. After pressing + below, you will jump to the consumption record page. Several common options have been preset, such as: meals, accommodation, tickets, transportation, electricity bills, etc. There are also remark options below for you to enter detailed content:

Supporting multiple currencies means that it is also possible to record foreign currencies directly. I will take the Japanese yen as an example:

After entering the total consumption and determining who the participants are, the fee that each person needs to pay will be automatically calculated below. Press the upper right corner to save:

This fee will be recorded on all participants. The top will also tell you immediately how many uncollected accounts each person has:

If there is new consumption, the amount will also be accumulated:

This app also provides a prepayment function, which is more like people giving you money first, and then paying directly for whatever you want to buy later. For example, you know how much the ticket will cost before you leave, and you use this prepayment to pay for each subsequent purchase, and it will not be mixed with consumption:

As shown in the figure below, after the addition, the amount of each person’s income and expenditure above has not changed:

The accounting method for prepayments is similar, but remember to switch the record type above to “Prepayment” first, and the default is new consumption:

After someone pays you back, click the brush icon in the lower right corner of the screen to settle. There are two types: “Personal settlement” and “All members”:

Personally, select the object you want to settle and click Next:

Click to confirm:

This person’s balance will return to 0, allowing you to tell at a glance who hasn’t paid yet. What’s a pity is that this set does not support partial amounts, and the entire amount must be settled every time. This means that if someone gives it to you in batches, you may need to wait until the final amount is received before settling:

There are also consumption statistics chart reports:

Although this set is free, I personally feel that there are too many ads. If you find it good and commonly used, you may consider paying to remove the ads.
