When you open the Tools menu and select “Create Video,” the interface shows a grid of styles with preview thumbnails, letting you quickly browse various visual styles before you start creating. The currently available templates are quite diverse, including themes such as Civilization, Metal, Memo, Glamour, Crochet, Cyberpunk, Video Games, Cosmos, Action Hero, Stardust, Jelly Cartoon, Racetrack, ASMR Apple, Red Carpet, and Popcorn, covering a visual vocabulary that ranges from realistic to fantastical and from cute to avant-garde.

After selecting a template, the system automatically adds it to the prompt box, where you can further customize it with photos or descriptions. If you want your own photos to be the star of the video, simply add them to “Video Assets.” This asset feature was updated last month with added native support for the 9:16 vertical aspect ratio, making mobile viewing look more natural.
Google’s latest update also aims to lower the barrier for writing complex prompts. For example, in the demo, simply entering a simple command like “Convert this photo into a video” lets the system automatically generate a video based on templates and source materials. For users unfamiliar with how to write prompts, this is a fairly user-friendly improvement.
This template feature will be gradually rolled out starting today on gemini.google.com launched on the mobile app. We have seen updates on the website showing that this feature is gradually being rolled out to all users.
Video generation still offers different daily usage limits based on subscription plans, and these quotas apply to the latest Veo 3.1 video model, so users with different needs can find a suitable option:
