Google Annual developer conference Google I/Ohas always been one of the most closely watched events in the tech industry, whether it’s Android New system versions, major AI breakthroughs, and updates to Chrome and Google Cloud services will all be announced at this event. Previously, we also compiled an article about this.2026 Key PredictionsAnd yet Google I/O 2026 It’s already confirmed to be held on May 19-20, and although there’s still about two months to go, Google has already started building up the hype! Continuing the “Save the date puzzle” tradition, this year’s theme is the hottest trend:AIdeveloped 5 mini games using Gemini for everyone to play for free

According to Google, the core of this “Save the date” experience is to showcase Gemini’s actual capabilities in game development. Nearly every level design and puzzle across these 5 mini-games was developed through Gemini, including auto-generating level content, providing real-time contextual hints, and dynamically adjusting difficulty based on player actions.

Google’s core message is that Gemini is not just a chatbot that answers questions—it also has powerful capabilities for developing actual applications and even games, with a relatively low barrier to entry. You don’t need top-tier game development experience. This also seems to foreshadow the key theme of Google I/O 2026: “How to enable more people, not just professional engineers, to create interactive experiences using AI tools.”

More notably, Google has open-sourced all the underlying code for these games on the Google AI Studio platform, meaning anyone can disassemble and modify the AI prompts themselves, and even build their own version of the game based on them. (Though I couldn’t find it, so it might not be available yet.)

The 5 mini games are:

  1. Hole in OneMini golf game where Gemini plays the role of an “AI caddie,” providing real-time strategy suggestions and commentary based on the player’s current actions.
  2. Nonogram (Number Weave Puzzle)Nonograms (also known as Picross or Griddlers) is a classic logic puzzle where players shade in grid cells based on row and column number clues to reveal hidden pictures, similar in concept to Sudoku. Level 1 features preset puzzles, while Levels 2 and 3 dynamically generate puzzle boards using Gemini in real-time, meaning you get a completely new puzzle every time you play.
  3. Word WheelPlayers need to form valid English words from circularly arranged letters. Gemini generates up to 100 different levels for this game, ensuring each puzzle falls within a reasonable and challenging range.
  4. Supersonic BotThis gameplay is the most unique – players must speak or make sounds into the device’s microphone, using volume level to control the Android mascot robot’s flying height.
  5. Stretchy CatA route puzzle game starring a cat. Gemini uses a mathematical logic called Hamiltonian Path to automatically generate randomized but always solvable levels, ensuring players can successfully complete the challenge every time.

After completing all 5 games above, you can also unlock the hidden Easter egg: Dino Pal, a virtual dinosaur pet endowed with a unique personality by Gemini. Gemini will assign different personality traits to Dino Pal based on your performance and play style during the game, so every player’s pet will be different:
