According to a report by the foreign media outlet Wccftech, the owner of an overseas internet café recently posted on the Reddit forum… ASUS Users on the forum have complained that since March 2025, they have built 150 gaming PCs equipped with Ryzen 7 9800X3D processors, but 15 of them have already failed—which works out to an average of one failure every 1 to 2 weeks. The cause is still unclear, but what is certain is that these Ryzen 7 9800X3D processors were all purchased in bulk and paired with B650M-AYW WiFi motherboards and Huntkey 850W 80+ Gold power supplies.
He also added that he hadn’t enabled the PBO feature during use, and the memory was running at only 5600 MHz—with absolutely no overclocking. Although the processor comes with a three-year warranty, he’s worried about what might happen once those three years are up. After all, this is an internet café, and since they chose such a high-quality processor, they certainly won’t be replacing it with a new one anytime soon.
