The December 2025 motorcycle registration figures have been released, with a total of 63,550 motorcycles registered—a significant 17% increase from the previous month. Thanks to the excise tax subsidy incentives in the final quarter, and despite a sharp decline in electric motorcycle registrations, the total number of registrations for 2025 reached 708,406, maintaining the annual registration threshold of 700,000.。
What were the best-selling motorcycles in Taiwan for December 2025 and for the year 2025? Here is a summary and explanation:

The total number of motorcycles registered in Taiwan in December was 63,550, a significant increase of 17% from the previous month but a decline of 2.5% compared to the same period last year.

In terms of cumulative annual registrations, the cumulative total for 2025 was 708,406 vehicles, representing a year-over-year decrease of 5.9%.
Sanyang once again claimed the title of annual sales champion in 2025 with a cumulative market share of 44.3%, while Kymco ranked second with an annual market share of 25.9%, and Yamaha Motor secured third place with a market share of 17.8%; Gogoro, buoyed by its new green-plate EZZY model, maintained a 4% market share and held onto fourth place, though it still posted a 46.3% year-over-year decline.
