This is a common internal testing practice among tech companies, where products are tested by their own staff before release.

If this actually rolls out, the Gemini App would upgrade from just a tool for answering questions and generating content to becoming a true assistant that gets things done for you.

Google I/O 2026 will be held on May 19-20, and this year’s main focus will very likely be AI agents.
