According to foreign media PCGamer reports, earlier in the Reddit forum, a user Zestyclose-Salad-290 shared a video of “Turkish Kebab PC” in r/pcmasterrace, which immediately aroused a lot of discussion. At first, many netizens doubted whether the real computer was hidden under the base or table. This rotating device was just used to deceive people.
Turns out no, this is a real computer.
But the real designer of the work is builds.gg user logarythym, the name is called “Rotating PC”. The entire chassis is framed by aluminum square tubes, and a transparent Lexan polycarbonate board is installed on the outside, so it looks like a glass display cabinet.

The motherboard, graphics card and power supply are fixed on the central rotating column through bent and processed steel bars. When the motor drives the central column, all computer parts move at the same speed, so their relative positions to each other do not change.
The author also installed eight Noctua fans on the upper and lower sides of the casing, arranged into four bottom air intakes and four top exhaust fans, allowing a large amount of air to pass through the rotating parts from bottom to top. However, these fans are fixed to the case and will not rotate with the motherboard, otherwise this may become another big project.

The key to allowing this computer to keep running without the wires getting tangled up is four sets of “slip rings.”
A slip ring can be thought of as a movable contact specially designed for rotating equipment: one side is fixed and the other side continues to rotate, and both sides can still transmit power or signals. Similar technology may be used in ceiling fans at home, in amusement park carousels, in hospital MRI machines, and even in wind turbines.
The author used four sets of commercially available slip rings to handle power, Ethernet, chassis control signals, USB 3.0, and DisplayPort. The wires at the rotating end enter the central column from the slip ring, and then lead to various parts from the column, while the external wiring remains at the fixed end.
As for the specs, it comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor, ASUS ROG Strix X570-I Gaming Mini-ITX motherboard, 16GB DDR4 memory, MSI GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics card, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD, and a SilverStone 800W 80 Plus Titanium power supply.

The custom-made case is estimated to be worth approximately $1,000, and the estimated total price of the entire computer is $3,088.62. I have to say that the case is quite expensive.
The amazing thing is that it took the author four months to assemble it, and by the third month, he still didn’t know whether it would work successfully in the end.
