According to a new report, Xbox is expected to launch heavyweight masterpieces such as “Gears of War: E-Day” and “Fable” this year. At the same time, they will do their best to avoid “Grand Theft Auto 6” which will arrive in November this year.
According to the latest report from the “The Verge” website, Microsoft is currently internally calling the four new heavyweight games they expect to launch in 2026, “Gears of War: E-Day”, “Fable”, “Forza Horizon 6” and “Halo: Battle Evolved”, and they will also call them the “Four Horsemen”. Each of these four new games represents an important IP for the development of the Xbox brand.
Microsoft has already shown players new content for Forza Horizon 6 and Fable at the recent Xbox Developer Direct event, but Gears of War: E-Day has not shown any new content for some time.
For now, Forza Horizon 6 is expected to launch in May, while Fable is scheduled for a later fall release in 2026. Relevant reports pointed out that Microsoft currently hopes that “Gears of War: E-Day” will also be released in the same fall period; as for the completely remastered version of the classic work “Halo: Battle Evolved”, it will be launched in the summer and will also become the first work in the series to be launched on PlayStation. Judging from these schedules, it is not difficult to see that Microsoft is actively avoiding the scheduled release time of “Grand Theft Auto VI” in November. In addition to these four new games, Microsoft is also rumored to be preparing to launch a “next-generation” controller with streaming games as its core.
