This year Samsung once again adopted the “partitioned processor” strategy:
- Galaxy S26 / S26+: The European version is equipped with Samsung’s own Exynos 2600, adopts ten-core architecture (1x C1-Ultra 3.9GHz + 3x C1-Prox 3.25GHz + 6x C1-Prox 2.75GHz).

Batteries and charging

Software and AI
All series shipped from the factory One UI 8.5 / Android 16. Analysis and Observation
- Hardware conservative, AI-led: Samsung’s strategy this year is obvious: limited hardware upgrades and focus on AI software functions. This is similar to Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro strategy, and the industry seems to have entered a new stage of “AI-driven”.
- Exynos 2600 is back: Samsung’s own chips have returned to the flagship series (at least in Europe). Whether the ten-core architecture can compete with Qualcomm is worthy of attention.
- Charging still lags behind competitors: The 25W of S26 and the 45W of S26+ are still far behind the 100W+ charging speed of Chinese brands.
