Apple’s latest products, the iPhone 18 Pro series, officially became available for pickup and went on sale today (9/18). Early in the morning, many eagerly anticipating customers with pre-orders went to pick up their devices. To see the new devices in person as soon as possible, we also went to the Apple Store in Taipei’s Xinyi District early this morning. On site were not only the iPhone 18 Pro series, but also the simultaneously launched Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5.

iPhone 18 Pro、iPhone 18 Pro Max
The iPhone 18 Pro series features a unibody design made of aluminum alloy. Its main design continues from the previous two generations, including the Action button and Camera Control. The body comes in four elegant colors: black, silver, Glacier Blue, and burgundy red. Compared with the previous generation’s eye-catching Cosmic Orange, the new colors are more muted, and the understated black makes a long-awaited return, giving many people who prefer a subtle, understated look more options. The back panel matching the body color is also a change I personally prefer; it avoids an overly jarring contrasting color and is easier on the eyes over time.
Another major design highlight this time is the redesigned Dynamic Island. Because the redesign frees up space to display more information, reducing the area occupied by the Dynamic Island, it can now display three Live Activities while continuing to support Face ID. The lineup of official accessories launched this time is also quite impressive, including the newly introduced Silicone Case, TechWoven Case, Crossbody Strap, and FineWoven Wallet, all of which pair perfectly with the four new colorways for a cohesive, refined aesthetic. The Clear Case also features a new design and supports use with the Crossbody Strap and Wrist Strap, combining style and practicality.
Apple Watch Series 12、Apple Watch Ultra 4
In addition to the existing aluminum and titanium, the Apple Watch Series 12 now adds a precision ceramic case, which feels quite warm and smooth to the touch. Its advantages include high hardness and scratch resistance, being lightweight and comfortable, and being hypoallergenic and skin-friendly. It is noticeably a little lighter, making it even more suitable for people who are prone to allergies, like me, to wear for long periods.
The aluminum model also adds a new deep bronze; the distressed dark brown tone is also very easy on the eyes, with a distinctive sense of calm, and paired with a matching strap it looks exceptionally refined.
Apple Watch Ultra 4 continues the classic design. Compared with Apple Watch Series 12, it is more angular and distinctive, comes in Natural and Black, and its more powerful performance makes it suitable for advanced users with needs such as outdoor activities, adventure, and fitness.
AirPods 5
AirPods 5 with Active Noise Cancellation also go on sale the same day, available in standard and wireless charging case versions, in the classic pure white, with an open-fit design that stays comfortable all day. The compact charging case is easy to carry, and its rounded shape won’t get in your way whether you put it in a bag or slip it into a pocket.
