Just a short while ago, the CDPR team confirmed that the critically acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will receive an Enhanced Remaster this September, with major overhauls to the game’s visuals, combat system, and enemy AI, in anticipation of the final expansion, The Old Song, slated for 2027, while also connecting to The Witcher 4 in 2028. A latest report also reveals that CDPR has included many community-made mods in this remaster.

According to HalkHogan, the creator of the player community mod “The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition,” who revealed the news on the Nexus Mods forum, he has now begun an official collaboration with the CDPR team, and his mod content will be integrated into the upcoming “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remake,” available on both PC and console versions.

HalkHogan emphasized that this remaster features extensive overhauls of the characters, monsters, animals, vegetation, and armor in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, as well as the gear for Geralt and Roach, along with most of the environments. He also invested a great deal of effort to ensure the final product meets the highest quality standards.
Interestingly, HalkHogan’s enhancement mod “OldGen Edition” for The Witcher 3 was already included in the game’s previously released next-gen update, so this is not the first time this modder has collaborated with CDPR.

During this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, CDPR officially revealed more actual gameplay footage from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered to players. Not only that, the development team also confirmed a crossover collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment’s classic action RPG Diablo 4, which will introduce a number of special character skins.
