There are still about three months until Google is expected to release the Pixel 11 series in August. Well-known tipster Mystic Leaks announced almost all important specifications details at once on the Telegram channel, covering four models: the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
Tensor G6: 2nm process, abandonment of Samsung modem, GPU performance raises doubts
The most significant change this time is the Tensor G6 chip. Leaked data shows that Tensor G6 uses a 1+4+2 7-core CPU configuration (instead of the common 8-core), including a 4.11 GHz ARM C1-Ultra large core, four 3.38 GHz ARM C1-Pro large cores, and two 2.65 GHz ARM C1-Pro Energy efficiency at the core, the chip is produced using TSMC’s 2nm process.
In terms of modems, Google finally said goodbye to the Samsung Exynos modem it had cooperated with for many years and switched to the MediaTek M90 (MT6986D) 5G modem. This change is expected to improve signal stability and power consumption performance, and is also an important step for the Pixel series to get rid of dependence on Samsung chips.
The GPU part is controversial. Tensor G6 is equipped with the PowerVR C-series CXTP-48-1536 GPU. This GPU architecture is relatively old and may be one to two generations behind the current flagship Arm Immortalis-G series. Others include a new Titan M3 security chip, an upgraded TPU (tensor processing unit), and Google’s custom GXP image signal processor (ISP), which will help improve Pixel’s signature computational photography performance.
Comprehensive upgrade of camera hardware: all series replaced with new photosensitive elements
The standard version of Pixel 11 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera sensor code-named “chemosh”, which is an improvement from the 48-megapixel sensor of Pixel 10. The same sensor will also be used in the Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
The higher-end Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL use a new main camera sensor code-named “bastet” and a new telephoto sensor code-named “barghest”. Although the specific specifications have not yet been exposed, judging from the code name configuration, the dual-lens hardware of the Pro series is expected to receive the largest upgrade in recent years. In addition, the Pixel 11 Pro series will cancel the temperature sensor on the fuselage. This feature, which was added to the Pixel 10 series but considered “tasteless” by many netizens, was ultimately removed after only one generation.
“Pixel Glow” LED indicator light: on par with Nothing
The most topical new feature in the revelations is the “Pixel Glow” LED reminder light of the Pixel 11 Pro series. According to the leaked image, a small colored LED light will be added to the right side of the lens module, which can display the Google G pattern. When the phone screen is placed downward, it can prompt incoming calls, messages and other notifications through different colors and light effects.
As early as mid-April, someone discovered traces of “Pixel Glow” in the system code, describing it as a function that “provides visual feedback through delicate light and color on the back when the device is face down.” This design is similar to the Glyph lighting effect of the Nothing Phone series. It is also the first time that Google has reintroduced this feature in a new form after canceling the notification LED in the Pixel 4 era.

Other notable details
According to the news, Google’s internal face unlock hardware project called “Project Toscana” will not be launched in the Pixel 11 series. This feature, described as the “Google version of Face ID,” seems to still need more development time to reach a maturity that can be mass-produced.
Overall, the Pixel 11 series shows a number of positive signals: getting rid of Samsung modems, completely revamping camera sensors, and reintroducing LED notification lights. However, if Tensor G6’s GPU selection can be paired with a more efficient graphics architecture, it will be better able to compete with competing products such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9500. The Pixel 11 series is expected to be officially unveiled in August 2026.
