Rumor has it that iOS 18 will incorporate a reminder function into the calendar – Sounds familiar?
Although next month’s WWDC developer conference seems to be a bit unexpected, it will be queued in May (that is, next week). iPad Pro and Apple Pencil special presentationCovered up the light. However, a lot of related news has been coming out one after another about the system functions (and AI!) of the Apple ecosystem devices.
Today, foreign media AppleInsider revealed possible information about a new feature that should make many people who love using original apps happy. This will eliminate the trouble of having to manage calendars and reminders in different apps in the past to a considerable extent.

Among the current news about iOS/iPadOS and macOS updates that will actively deploy AI-related thoughtful features, an unexpected interface feature design has popped up in other third-party application services.
According to foreign media information, it is suspected that the original default calendar application will be updated in iOS 18 and macOS 15. It was discovered that the integration function of adding new reminders and display items is being provided for the pre-version of the calendar app.

From the current application demonstrations seen by foreign media, we can find that this function not only allows you to directly see the reminder items assigned to each day in the monthly, daily and other calendar display modes. You can also directly right-click to quickly add reminders for a single day in addition to creating an itinerary.
The items that can be set are similar to the previous reminders in iOS and macOS, including functions such as notes and tags. The current Pre-Release also mentions interface adjustments, including improvements such as making the hourly display more prominent in the daily review interface.

Speaking of which, similar integration features can be seen not only in other services, including Google. Even Fantastical, a well-known third-party service on iOS and macOS, has already had similar integrations. Therefore, if this feature update comes true, I believe it is not surprising that some people will make jokes about “innovating again.”
But regardless of whether it is considered a tribute or not, as long as you can see that the mobile/desktop system functions are easier to use, I believe most people will view it in a positive manner? In addition to these basic interface integrations, I believe many people are also looking forward to a smarter and more thoughtful user experience through the power of AI, which will also come with this iOS / iPadOS / macOS update.
