Google Keep will support Android lock screen “default notes” function

Following Google’s system support for Android’s larger screens, we saw the launch of hardware such as Pixel Fold and even Pixel Tablet. Although Google has not taken any action for the Pixel exclusive stylus yet, it has first seen the official silent input of hardware that supports the USI Universal Stylus Alliance, as well as the layout of the Android 14 system to provide a more friendly note-taking app experience.

Now, when foreign media were digging into the latest v5.23.482.04 Google Keep App, they discovered that Google has officially begun to introduce various thoughtful features for the new generation Android system that correspond to the note-taking needs of this note-taking app that many people love.

Google Keep has begun to correspond to the new default shortcut function provided in the lock screen of Android 14 system – in addition to the original quick functions such as camera, silent/do not disturb, QR Code scanning and flashlight, through the new “default notes app”, which is the default note app setting, users can better and quickly access Google Keep to quickly record fleeting inspirations and notes.

After importing support for the default note-taking application, Google Keep will not only be quickly accessible from the lock screen. According to a report by foreign media Android Authority, this note-taking app will also support Android 14’s special API for note-taking apps. It will support SystemUI screenshots and quickly import notes into the note-taking app for a quick experience such as highlighting.

If you see this, you can’t help but start setting up Android 14. I regret to tell you that in fact, Google Keep does not yet fully support this feature – although it can be set as the default note-taking application, the app itself currently pops up an error message saying that the application needs to be updated before it can be used (update Keep to continue).

However, judging from the current pace, relevant support updates should follow soon. If you prefer Google Keep to the original Notes App, please wait for the support progress of Google “Keep”.
