Sony officially released its annual flagship mobile phone Xperia 1 VIII in Taiwan today (5/13). It has a new design based on the concept of minerals, which perfectly combines technology and craftsmanship aesthetics. The new AI photography assistant powered by Xperia Intelligence can instantly identify scenes and subjects, and provide shooting suggestions such as optimal color tones, lens focal lengths, and bokeh effects, making it easy to capture everyday touches with more style. The new Xperia 1 VIII is inspired by natural ore (ORE). The back cover, side aluminum alloy and camera module present a delicate surface treatment like natural ore, creating a unique appearance design that combines a comfortable grip with a sense of integrity. A total of four colors are launched, including Stone Mineral Black, Cold Mineral Silver, Dusk Mineral Red, and Raw Mineral Gold, demonstrating Sony’s emphasis and interpretation of materials, colors, and craftsmanship.
Xperia 1 VIII continues the iconic design that is loved by users, including a physical shutter button that is closer to professional camera operation, a 3.5mm headphone jack that supports wired headphones, and a hole-free screen design that brings a more immersive viewing experience. In terms of capacity expansion, in addition to retaining the memory card slot (supporting up to 2TB) that can be installed without a card ejection pin, it also supports eSIM for the first time, making it more flexible and convenient to use.
