When you open the LINE Sticker Shop recently, you may find that LINE has announced that it will adjust the price of LINE tokens soon. Does this mean that LINE stickers will become more expensive in the future? In a way this is true, but if you look closely you will find that it is not entirely the case, and for some people it has little impact. Today, I will analyze the LINE token price adjustment with you, and share with you how to purchase LINE stickers, themes, and emoticons through official channels at a cheaper price.

Are LINE stickers going to increase? LINE tokens announced that they will increase, here’s how to get stickers cheaply

Recently, LINE officially announced that it will adjust the sales price of LINE tokens, mentioning that this adjustment will eventually “unify the price of 1 token in each price range to NT$0.7 (this token price calculation does not include free tokens).”
In the past, the price of LINE tokens varied based on the quantity consumers purchased at one time. The more LINE tokens purchased at one time, the cheaper they would be. For example: buying 50 tokens is NT$33 (average NT$0.66/token), but buying 200 tokens is slightly cheaper at NT$130 (average NT$0.65/token). After this price adjustment, whether you buy 50 tokens or 200 tokens at a time, the price will always be NT$0.7/token. To put it simply, inflation has increased.

After this price adjustment, users who use “LINE tokens” to purchase stickers will of course be most directly affected.

That is, you can purchase stickers by opening the LINE App on your mobile phone and going to the “Sticker Shop” to purchase stickers.

But in fact, this is not the only way to purchase LINE stickers. You can also purchase them directly through the “LINE STORE”. This is also the way we recommend most people to purchase and give away stickers.
*Tips: Your rights can only be protected if you purchase through the official channel “Sticker Shop” or “LINE STORE” in LINE APP.

In this LINE announcement, it was also mentioned that the prices (stickers/emoticons/themes) in the LINE STORE will remain unchanged. The starting price is NT$30/set, but of course the price will vary slightly depending on the style.

Purchase stickers/emoticons/themes through LINE STORE at cheaper prices

The price of purchasing LINE stickers with LINE tokens will be relatively expensive. Let’s compare using the same picture. This sticker requires 100 LINE tokens, which is a purchase cost of about NT$70.

However, if you open LINE STORE through your mobile phone or computer browser, you will find that the price of this sticker is only NT$60. Moreover, using the LINE STORE payment method gives you more flexibility, and you can also use LINE POINTS for discounts.
For example, when I usually buy goods and get free stickers, I almost always use LINE STORE to buy them. Sometimes I don’t want to pay extra, and I happen to have some LINE POINTS on hand, so I just use them as discounts. After all, most of the rewards for general consumption are to accumulate tens to hundreds of LINE POINTS, which happens to be about the same price as the stickers.
