Blackmagic Camera app now supports shooting with “multiple” iPhones remotely using iPad

After reading the title, I believe everyone has caught one of the key points of the hidden version – yes, the Blackmagic Camera app, which many people use to shoot professional videos on iPhone, now officially supports the iPad version.

In this 2.0 version, the Blackmagic Camera app can be said to be completely different from Apple’s original Final Cut Camera. It is announced that iPhone and iPad will also support mutual remote control and synchronized recording, control parameters and monitor images.

That said, the Live Multicam multi-camera recording function of the iPad version of Final Cut Pro still has its advantages. One of them should be the original factory solutionCan activate point-to-point connection mode. In addition, after the video is shot in segments, it can be directly imported into the iPad editing software, which also saves a lot of troublesome import processes – although many people may prefer to have a local backup.

Although the remote control function of the Blackmagic Camera app requires each mobile phone and tablet to be connected to the same wireless network. But what I personally find most cool is that in the Blackmagic Camera app, remote monitoring is not limited to large-screen iPads. In other words, multiple iPhones can themselves become cameras, and can also be used as monitoring screens and remote control of other iPhones/iPads.

I have to say, this really takes the usefulness of the Blackmagic Camera app to another level.

Oh, by the way, did I mention that the Blackmagic Camera app is also not limited to M-series iPads? We have actually tested that the latest generation iPad mini can also be used as a “wireless monitoring remote control” and transformed into one of the Blackmagic Cameras.

In addition to the powerful wireless remote control function, Blackmagic Camera 2.0 version also provides 100fps high frame rate shooting specifications for iPhone 15 Pro series users – but it is only available in HD quality. In addition, for the media interface after recording is completed, the new version finally introduces the multi-selection function, allowing you to delete or export and share multiple clips at one time.
