As a result, some high-end graphics cards began to increase in price, especially the RTX 4090. However, with stable supply, next-generation graphics cards from NVIDIA and AMD seem to be on the way. There is good news for players. The foreign NVIDIA RTX 40 series and AMD RX 7000 series have fully fallen below the official recommended selling price. Unsurprisingly, Taiwan should also follow suit.
RTX 4090 is no exception. All foreign RTX 40 and RX 7000 graphics cards have fallen below the MSRP recommended selling price.
According to a tracking report by Germany’s 3DCenter, they found that the prices of NVIDIA RTX 40 series and AMD RX 7000 series graphics cards in Germany are already lower than the recommended retail price, and many brands are offering a certain degree of discounts, even the SUPER series launched earlier this year.
3DCenter also compares with Newegg, but first look directly at the Geizhals price on the far right. This is the current starting price of Geizhals in Germany. For the RTX 4090, the starting price is 1,739 euros, and the MSRP recommended price is 1,799 euros, which is 60 euros cheaper. The RTX 4080 SUPER starts at 1,059 euros and the MSRP is 1,190 euros, which is 140 euros cheaper:

AMD is no exception. The AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT has recently been greatly reduced in price. The European MSRP is 549 euros, and Geizhals starts at only 424 euros. As for whether Taiwan has the same trend? I checked the prices on several large shopping websites and found that the prices are the same this month. This shows that the price reduction has not started yet.
Another thing worth noting about this statistical table is that the price of each graphics card from Newegg in the United States is higher than that from Geizhals in Europe. The biggest difference is 26.4%. The RX 7900 XT starts at 739 euros in Europe and 1,004 euros from Newegg in the United States. The price difference is really exaggerated. And this also seems to reveal that the European graphics card market is not very good now.
As for why it has dropped like this, in addition to weakening consumption, another big reason should be that NVIDIA Blackwell and AMD RDNA 4 next-generation graphics cards are about to be launched, which is expected to be in the second half of 2024, so players’ interest in current graphics cards will definitely weaken, and various brand merchants will also hope to reduce inventory.
