Spotify finally imports mini player on Win/Mac! Where to open this article

Although “in theory” when you consider spending money to subscribe to Spotify Premium, you should basically try the free version first. Therefore, if you encounter any functions that you feel are essential to use in the music app but cannot be found in the Spotify app, I believe you will not choose this service.

However, if you have ever tried to search for it in the Spotify app, you always feel that it should be a fairly common mini player function in music players/streaming music services. But I suddenly realized that it really doesn’t have this feature. Congratulations to all Spotify Premium users, this feature is finally confirmed to be available on the Spotify desktop app for Windows and macOS.

Oh, yes, the free version does not yet provide this feature (you will pay attention to the key points).

Through an official social announcement, they officially announced that the mini music player function of Spotify Miniplayer has been officially introduced into the desktop version of the application.

This feature is currently visible as a button to the left of the “Full Screen” button in the lower right corner of the main Spotify app, which is very similar to the PiP picture-in-picture feature in many video window applications. Click to switch to the floating window interface of Spotify Miniplayer.

According to the official statement, this mini player hopes to provide users with an interface that is simple and intuitive to operate and is not easily disturbed by too much information. It allows you to easily master music information and control through the floating window while working. As long as you click the mini player button from the main window, you will switch to an ultra-simplified player presentation mode that allows you to freely adjust the window proportions to square, rectangular, or even a thin strip of basic playback functions.

In terms of control functions, in addition to basic operations such as playback and pause, you can quickly switch back to the traditional Spotify application window by clicking on the song/singer name or album image.

That is to say, the reason for choosing a button similar to picture-in-picture is quite intuitive in my opinion. Mainly because this Spotify Miniplayer can not only be used to listen to music and podcasts, but also to watch videos – so the mini window provides different size ratios, right?

This simplified version of the player that takes into account multiple media can be regarded as witnessing Spotify’s journey to the present, and the process of increasingly rich types of streaming content. In addition, their application interface has also introduced a display function that is very similar to limited-time dynamic display, and this time they have updated the mini player that many users have been playing for a long time. It can indeed be felt that under the pressure of competition, they are really more active in trying to satisfy all users in terms of innovation and traditional functions.
