The various “fairness” and “openness” principles of the EU Digital Market Law may also directly or indirectly affect the attitude of many big technology brands in developing software and hardware.

That is to say, since it is still an experimental function, it naturally means that it may not be stable or complete enough. In fact, when tested by foreign media, the function of selecting a password manager other than Google Password Manager in the Chrome browser still encountered problems that did not work properly – for example, trying to save a new password would fail. Therefore, it is currently believed that the third-party application service support for Autofill may still be under development and testing.

However, it must be said that being able to choose a third-party password manager is believed to be a very convenient option for users who need to switch between various platforms, including desktop systems and mobile systems – especially those who are not used to the original solutions and are annoyed by the inability to smoothly copy passwords and other information! Although it is not certain whether this experimental function will become an official function in the future, at least there is a glimmer of hope (right).
