Recently by nano banana or ChatGPT Creating various AI images is all the rage right now, and we’ve covered quite a few related apps. However, images downloaded from these services mostly share a common problem: the resolution is too low. Previously we also introducedMany free AI services can improve image resolution. However, they usually have free usage limits, and some upscaling results aren’t great. Today I’m introducing a free AI image upscaling service that requires no registration, “IMGUpscaler”, which is simple, easy to use, and has no limits.

For example, Ada used nano banana to create this show-off photo that looks awesome, but the actual resolution of this image is only 1184×864. Zooming into the head area, you can see that it’s actually a bit blurry:

At this point, simply go to IMGUpscaler and choose to upload images (you can upload up to three at a time):

The system will then start using AI to upscale the resolution:

After the image quality enhancement is complete, there are 2K and 4K quality options below to view, and the slider bar in the middle lets you compare Before and After:

I directly zoomed into that area and put the original, 2K, and 4K versions side by side for everyone to see. I think the 2K quality is already pretty good—the 4K files are just a bit large. Of course, since it’s AI upscaling, a slight smeared look is unavoidable, but I think the quality is totally usable. After upscaling, feeding it to VEO3 to generate video works without any issues.

Currently, IMGUpscaler has no usage restrictions, and you can upload even from a phone. In addition to photo upscaling, it also offers services like video upscaling, old photo restoration, and blurry photo repair. The official claims that uploaded images are not retained or used for other purposes. However, if you’re concerned, it’s better not to upload images with privacy issues. If you need to increase the resolution of your own AI-generated images or old photos, you can give it a try.
