The annual Christmas will debut next week. LINE officially announced today (19th) that it will launch Christmas chat room special effects from now until 10:00 on December 26th! As long as you enter the specified keyword in the LINE chat room during the event, the chat room background effects can be awakened. This year’s Christmas chat room keywords include “Christmas”, “Reindeer” and “Jingle Bell”. If you enter any group of keywords, you can see the animation of Big Bear, Bunny and Sally appearing to celebrate Christmas!
Christmas Chat Room is available for LINE iOS 9.15.0 (inclusive) and above, LINE Android 10.2.0 (inclusive) and above (and Android system 7.1 and above), and LINE PC version 5.19.0 (inclusive) and above.
If the LINE App version of your mobile phone is 12.0.0 (inclusive) or above, after entering the special keywords, the keywords will be displayed as links in the chat room. If you want to replay the chat room special effects at any time, you only need to click on the keyword to play it. There is no need to enter keywords in the chat room to wash the board. Everyone can enjoy the cute chat room special effects by clicking on them at any time.
It’s going to snow in the chat room! on this day
LINE has officially announced that the first snowfall in this year’s LINE chat room will arrive at a designated time, but there is a slight difference in the snowing time between the mobile version and the computer version. First of all, the snowing time for the LINE iOS/Android mobile APP is from 00:00 to 23:59 on December 25, 2023; the snowing time for the LINE computer version APP is from 17:00 on December 22, 2023 to 10:00 on December 26, 2023.

During Christmas this year, the LINE homepage also has exclusive Santa Claus special effects! Home Santa Claus Special Effects from 23 December 2023 12:00 to 25 December 2023 13:59. LINE Christmas homepage special effects are applicable to LINE APP versions 10.17.0 (inclusive) and above for iOS and Android.
If you do not want to see LINE chat room settings, you can go to LINE settings, find the “Chat” page and turn off “Chat room background effects”. Or during the event, the LINE version was updated to a version that supports special effects but no snow was found. In this case, you can restart the LINE App first, or go to the settings page to confirm whether the “Chat Room Background Effects” is turned on.
