For busy people, they sometimes listen to gain more news or information while working. Google Chrome browser for Android may gain an interesting new feature that allows it to use AI-generated voices to create whatever web page content you’re viewing. Podcast, quite interesting.

Google Chrome browser will get a new feature that turns any webpage into podcast content.
According to foreign media Android Authority the report, in on the r/google subreddit on RedditShared: The Android version of Google Chrome beta will include an upgraded AI Overview feature that can read the page you’re currently browsing aloud. This new feature isn’t like the old AI Overview, which just read aloud; instead, it uses information from the webpage to create a podcast segment, telling you everything on the page in a more vivid way.

The feature was initially discovered by Reddit user Leopeva64-2 on the Google subreddit. Clicking the “Listen to this page” option in the sidebar menu grants access to the podcast, which takes a few seconds to load and can then be played directly.
Google Chrome for Android’s Read Aloud feature will get “AI Audio overviews.” This feature provides a conversational summary of webpage content, delivered by two AI voices discussing the material. A dedicated button lets you switch between “AI playback” and “Standard” playback.

Although the speech after playback is a bit stiff and unnatural, it doesn’t feel odd. The two hosts conversing in the podcast are clearly AI-generated robots; at times they seem to imitate the feel of a real human podcast, and while it’s occasionally slightly off, it still leaves a strong impression. If you’re not used to it, you can click another button to switch between the traditional version and the podcast version—the traditional version simply reads out the webpage content.

This is the upgraded version of Google AI Studio, a feature that can directly summarize information from Google Search. In this case, it’s built into the Chrome browser, and the first thing it relies on is visiting the page beforehand. Additionally, if the Reddit video above is a good demonstration of this enhancement, it runs very fast. Previously, AI took up to 40 seconds to create a Podcast, but now it’s generated almost instantly. To be fair, the Google Search version needs to dig through multiple websites to create its Podcast, while the feature mentioned above only needs to read a single webpage, so they can’t really be compared.
