AI company Anthropic, founded by former OpenAI employees, has officially launched. Claude AI voice mode beta marks the birth of another AI version of “Siri.” This new feature lets users easily converse with Claude AI simply by using the voice command “Hey, Claude,” handling tasks such as calendar management and document search. It officially joins the competitive arena of smart voice assistants alongside ChatGPT, Gemini, and others.

In the promotional video released by Anthropic, a female protagonist naturally calls out “Hey, Claude” while brushing her teeth, replacing the previous “Hey, Siri,” showcasing a scene of future home life seamlessly integrated with an AI assistant.
This voice feature currently supports English only, but the company says it will be rolled out to all subscribers in the coming weeks.

Some netizens have noticed that the feature appears to be tested in the iPad app, indicating that Anthropic is not only targeting mobile phone users but may also be seeking to expand voice interaction to a broader range of device platforms.
As an AI company founded by former OpenAI employees, Anthropic has consistently upheld “safety first” as its core value since its inception, focusing on enterprise-grade AI solutions. The company has demonstrated significant strengths in hybrid reasoning models and programming capabilities, quickly becoming one of OpenAI’s biggest competitors. In March of this year, Anthropic completed a massive $3.5 billion Series E funding round, which catapulted its valuation to $61.5 billion. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from several prominent institutions including Bessemer Venture Partners, Cisco Investments, and D1 Capital. The funds will primarily be used to develop next-generation AI systems, enhance computing capacity, deepen mechanistic interpretability and alignment research, and drive international expansion.
Four days before the voice feature launch, Anthropic released its next-generation Claude 4 series models: Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4. According to the official statement, these two models have redefined industry standards in coding capability, advanced reasoning, and AI agent design. Among them, Claude Opus 4 is hailed as the world’s most powerful AI coding model, scoring an impressive 72.5% on SWE-bench and leading the industry by a wide margin with 43.2% on Terminal-bench, surpassing other models including Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro, OpenAI’s GPT-4.1, and the o3 reasoning model, inThere are also quite a few actual cases abroad.。
A major highlight of Claude Opus 4 is its exceptional long-duration task execution capability. In scenarios requiring continuous operation over several hours and spanning thousands of steps, it maintains stable performance. Japan’s Rakuten company successfully used Claude to run an intensive open-source refactoring task lasting 7 hours, putting its computational stability and performance to the test.
Additionally, Anthropic made a major upgrade to its tool module. First, Claude supports using tools in real time during reasoning, such as web search, to implement an “extended thinking” strategy, making responses faster and more accurate. This feature has been available for free to all Claude users since May 28.

Second, the “parallel tool execution” feature allows Claude to execute instructions more precisely. When developers grant it access to local files, Claude can not only extract key information and maintain task coherence, but also gradually build implicit knowledge, significantly reducing the risk of AI “randomly answering or misinterpreting” when faced with difficult problems. Based on these technological breakthroughs, Anthropic continues to deepen Claude’s programming capabilities. Currently, Claude Code can run background tasks via GitHub Actions and has native integration with VS Code and JetBrains editors, allowing developers to directly view and modify Claude’s suggested code within the editor, achieving true “seamless pair programming.”
A stock analyst shared his experience using it. API Feature Expansion: Building More Powerful AI Agents
In response to calls from developers, Anthropic has also added four major features to its API platform:
