Since the release of Geekbench 5 of the well-known performance testing platform Geekbench in 2019, the performance of smartphones, computers and other devices has become more powerful. In order to keep up with modern hardware and reflect the tests of today’s workloads, the new Geekbench 6 was recently officially launched, and this latest version of Geekbench has some new tests.
Geekbench 6 is officially launched, and the latest test results of iPhone 14 Pro Max are out!
Geekbench recently released the latest Geekbench 6 application. This new test platform focuses on keeping up with modern hardware and using tests that better reflect today’s workloads. There are some new test items in Geekbench 6, including “background blur” for recording and video calls, “photo filters” for social media applications, AI object detection, and new tests such as labeling data in photos and text processing. Geekbench also notes that many existing tests have been updated to better reflect modern workloads.
We also actually used the iPhone 14 Pro Max at hand to measure the latest performance scores on Geeekbench 6. Geekbench 6’s CPU benchmark also adds many new test items, including application areas such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and machine learning, using tests that simulate real-world applications to measure CPU performance for daily tasks.
According to actual measurement results, iPhone 14 Pro Max scored 2505 points in Geekbench 6 single-core and 6017 points in multi-core.

This new Geekbench 6 is also changing the way apps are scored for performance and benchmarks, with tests now taking better advantage of the GPU throughout the process. Support for machine learning has been added to GPU benchmarks.

As in the past, the latest Geekbench 6 is available for free for personal use on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux, but not for commercial use. In addition, for advanced users, you can also choose to use the paid full version of Geekbench 6 Pro. The Pro version supports more complete functions including command line automation and offline result management.
