NVIDIA’s current generation of most powerful professional-grade graphics card, the RTX 6000 Ada, has a recommended retail price that is much more expensive than the A6000 Ampere. Therefore, interested friends have always wondered whether the price increase is worth it. However, recently, a user in a foreign Reddit forum shared 3DMark actual measurement data, and the results showed that it is quite worth it, with an improvement of 72%.

NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada professional graphics card 3DMark test released, 72% faster than A6000
Recently in a foreign Reddit forum, a Healthy-Blood-54 shared the 3DMark running score data of what should be the first RTX 6000 professional graphics card. The recommended selling price of this card is US$6,800 (approximately NT$200,000), and he bought it for US$7,400 (approximately NT$220,000), which is slightly more expensive.

In the 3DMark Time Spy performance test mode, the RTX 6000 Ada scored 30518 points. Compared with RTX A6000, it is 72% faster, and Quadro RTX 6000 is more than 2 times faster:

It is worth noting that Healthy-Blood-54 was also tested before the Windows update. The score of 30,158 was the result of the test after the update. Before the update, it could reach 36,844 points, which is higher than the current score.

Some people may ask, how does it compare with RTX 4090? The RTX 6000 Ada is a professional-grade graphics card, mainly used for workstations, graphics work, etc., so there is no way to compare the two. 3DMark tests game performance, so the score must be lower than the RTX 4090. In terms of clock speed, the RTX 600 Ada is also lower than the RTX 4090.
Healthy-Blood-54 also added that when the RTX 6000 Ada is running at full load, the core temperature of the graphics card will reach 85 degrees and the fan will be stable at about 70%, but the operating sound will not be louder than the A6000. Also keep in mind that these cards are hardened to run at 95 degrees 24/7 for at least 10 years before breaking down, so that has to be factored into the price as well.

The NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada 48GB graphics card is based on the AD102 GPU and is equipped with 18,176 CUDA cores. NVIDIA has not specified the clock of this GPU, but it has been revealed that the maximum computing performance will be 91.1 FP32 TFLOPS, which means the clock should be 2,505 MHz.
For reference, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB also uses the AD102 GPU, with 16,384 CUDA cores clocked at 2,520 MHz. The power ratings of the two are also different, with the RTX 4090 being 450W and the RTX 6000 Ada being 300W.
