The 13th generation of the most powerful mobile flagship processor i9-13900HK has been revealed, with 14 cores

For those of you who are interested in buying new gaming laptops, mid-to-high-end laptops, you must be waiting for news about Intel’s 13th generation Raptor Lake-P processor. It has been officially confirmed that it will be launched at the end of this year, but how is its performance? Is there a significant improvement compared to the 13th generation? Many people must be very curious. Although traces of this device have appeared on Geekbench before, it was more than a month ago. Recently, new benchmark data has finally appeared, which I will summarize for you below.

Recently in the Geekbench database, the running score results of a SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. 960XFH laptop appear. From the system information specifications, we can see that the processor is the unreleased Intel Core i9-13900HK, with 14 cores, 20 threads, a base clock of 2.6GHz, a maximum clock of 5.2GHz, and a 24MB L3 cache. The tested memory is: 32GB:

As for the Geeekbench score, the single-core score is 1870 and the multi-core score is 12436:

For reference, below are the results of the i9-13900HK when it first appeared in the Geekbench database at the end of September. For the same laptop model, the single-core score was 1870 points and the multi-core score was 12436 points. This time the score has improved slightly, but not by much:

This is the Geekbench running score comparison table compiled by foreign media Wccftech. You can see that the two results of the i9-13900HK now are not the final version, because the single-core score is still lower than the previous generation i9-12900H and i912900HX, which is obviously not right:

The same is true for the multi-core part, and it loses a lot, which is really strange. Judging from the performance performance of the 13th generation vs. the 12th generation of desktop computers, this is not possible. It is expected that there is still a lot of room for optimization:

At the previous Intel investor meeting, officials have announced that the 13th generation Raptor Lake processor for mobile platforms will be launched at the end of 2022. However, the actual product may not be launched until early 2023, which means it will take about 2 months. For those who want to wait to buy a laptop with a 13th generation processor, there is still some time to wait.

You can also look forward to CES 2023 early next year, where Intel will launch Arc A series GPU graphics cards to compare with the RTX 40 series.

In addition to the i9-13900HK, there is another i7-13700H that has also appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database. According to the specifications, this one is also equipped with 14 cores and 20 threads, with a base clock of 2.4GHz and a maximum clock of 3.7GHz. It provides 24MB of L3 cache. It scored 1768 points in single core and 10796 points in multi-core:
