The price drop of GPU graphics cards has not been big news for a long time, but it is different from the past. Recently, “NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series finally launched“,at the same time”The Ethereum merger is also completed, and the dark age of GPU mining has officially arrived”, so many people will be curious, will the prices of the RTX 30 series and RX 6000 series hit hard again? According to the latest tracking reports from foreign media, only a few graphics cards are affected, and other graphics cards seem to be gradually stabilizing.

Latest GPU Price Tracker Report! With the launch of the RTX 40 series, GPU mining is dead, where does it fall now?
Recently, foreign media TechSpot released the latest GPU graphics card price tracking report. This tracking data will be released at the end of every month. The tracking source is the foreign Newegg website.

The price of RTX 3090 and RTX 3090 Ti in August was US$1,200. After these two shocks, it has now dropped to around US$1,000. Representatives say it has dropped by 20%. This is also one of the largest declines for NVIDIA graphics cards since March. In fact, it is not surprising. After all, among the NVIDIA RTX 40 series, the RTX 4090 is the first to go on sale. If the RTX 3090 series does not drop more, it will be even worse by then.
- The NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti was available for as low as US$1,350 last month, and in September it was available for the lowest price of US$1,030. The price was reduced by 24%. Compared with the recommended selling price of US$2,000, it was also 49% lower. Unexpectedly, even brand-new models were almost discounted by 50%.
- The NVIDIA RTX 3090 started at a low price of US$1,220 last month. This month, it can be purchased for US$961, a price reduction of 21%. Compared with the recommended selling price of US$1,500, it is also 36% lower.

RTX 3080 Ti also fell, but only with an impact of -8%. Other similar ones include RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3050. The prices of RTX 3080 12 GB and 10 GB are not affected and are almost the same as last month.
The AMD Radeon RX 6000 series does not seem to be affected much. This may be related to the fact that the RX 7000 series has not yet been launched, and miners rarely use AMD graphics cards for mining.
The most obvious declines are the RX 6800 XT, RX 6800, RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT. The prices have all dropped by more than 10% compared to last month, especially the RX 6650 XT, which has dropped by 18%.
- AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT was $640 last month, and this month it was $560, down 13%.
- AMD Radeon RX 6800 was US$600 last month and became US$535 this month, down 11%
- AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT was US$470 last month and became US$410 this month, down 13%
- AMD Radeon RX 6650XT was US$340 last month and became US$280 this month, down 18%

Especially the Radeon 6600 XT, the price has increased by 10%. I don’t know why. This report also shares the price tracking of second-hand graphics cards. Interested friends can click here to read the full report.
Overall, I think it’s a bit difficult for graphics cards to plummet again, especially for some models that are originally priced at a low price. I have also observed that the inventory in Taiwan’s online shopping centers is significantly less than last month, so friends who are waiting for cheaper prices should pay attention. It is very likely that if you wait any longer, you will have to buy a new graphics card.
