NVIDIA RTX 30 series high-end graphics cards have been falling in price for a long time, but in the past, they were all partner manufacturers, namely MSI, ASUS, ZOTAC, etc., and NVIDIA officials have not taken any action. At the previous financial report conference, NVIDIA CEO finally released the news that there was too much inventory and he intended to reduce the price for sale. After a period of time, the European official website officially lowered the price earlier. The Founders Edition of the RTX 30 series high-end graphics cards had a considerable drop. Especially the RTX 3090 Ti, the recommended price was directly cut off by 920 euros.

NVIDIA officially lowers the European pricing of RTX 3090 (Ti)/3080Ti Founder Edition, up to NT$28,000

previously NVIDIA Europe official website RTX 30 series high-end graphics cardsThe prices are very expensive, and some even increased slightly in January this year. For example, the RTX 3090 increased from the original price of 1,549 euros to 1,649 euros. However, the good times did not last long. After September, it was directly reduced by 350 euros:

  • GeForce RTX 3090 Ti’s recommended price is 2,249 euros, which is now 1,329 euros, a price reduction of 920 euros (about NT$18,000)
  • The recommended price of GeForce RTX 3090 is 1,549 euros. It was raised to 1,649 euros in January and is now 1,199 euros, a price reduction of 350 euros (about NT$10,700).
  • The recommended selling price of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is 1,199 euros. It was raised to 1,269 euros in January and is now 1,089 euros, a price reduction of 110 euros (about NT$3,400).

I have also observed the price of the high-end RTX 30 series founding edition in Taiwan, and it seems that it has not followed suit. For example, the RTX 3090 founding edition currently costs NT$43,000 on the momo shopping website, which is NT$6,400 more expensive than the NT$36,600 in Europe:

There doesn’t seem to be much in stock, so I’m not sure if NVIDIA Taiwan will follow suit in the future. Even if the price of the European Founder Edition is greatly reduced, it is still more cost-effective to buy the version from a cooperative manufacturer, such as ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity, which is less than NT$30,000. Unless you want to collect the Founder Edition, consider:

Another risk is that after the launch of the RTX 40 series at the end of the year, is it possible for NVIDIA to cut the price of the RTX 30 series high-end graphics cards again? It’s not impossible.

As for other graphics cards such as RTX 3080, RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti, there have been no changes, and they still maintain the price increase in January this year. Below is the price list compiled by VideoCardz:

Models below RTX 3080 are not expected to see the launch of the new generation RTX 40 series until next year. Therefore, in the past two months, there may not be as much price reduction as the high-end models above RTX 3080 Ti. Friends who want to buy mid-to-low-end graphics cards at a low price will basically have to wait for a while.
