There are various signs that Android 13 may officially debut in September

Although after the official launch, with the exception of Google Pixel, other brands still need a little time to find ways to introduce the latest system experience for their users. However, at least after the official version of Android 13 is released, you can also roughly estimate the time when you may receive the new system update through the past update times of each brand.

Seeing that this wave of Android 13 tests has already released the developer test version before the Google I/O 2022 conference, the pace is quite steady – Android 13 Beta 4 will arrive in July as scheduled, and combined with the previous time period for Final Release, some people estimate that the final test version should have a chance to arrive in the following month, that is, August.

In the latest announcement from Google obtained by foreign media 9to5Google, it is confirmed that the description of the security patch level of 2022-09-01 pushed by AOSP will be added to the previous conventional estimation. This should be the “final prelude” to the official release of Android’s major version update.

Android 13 devices with a security patch level of 2022-09-01 or later are protected against these issues (Android 13, as released on AOSP, will have a default security patch level of 2022-09-01).

According to foreign media estimates, if there are no surprises in the official version of Android 13, the official version of the Pixel series of mobile devices will be launched in September. This is also different from Android 12, which was officially launched in October last year. This time Google is following the same pace as in the past, including Android 10 in 2019 and Android 11 in 2020, and may launch the latest Android 13 system in September.

Compared with the slight delay last year, Android 9 Pie is a rare and special example of releasing the official version as early as August. It seems that this year Google should maintain its rhythm and launch a new system version that has improved privacy and security, personalization and experience on large-screen devices. I wonder if you are looking forward to it?
