According to Trump’s remarks at the White House, “The Stargate Project” is about to be launched. Trump said that The Stargate Project will be the largest AI project in history. SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and other companies are expected to partner to create a new company called Stargate, investing $500 billion over the next four years to enable OpenAI to build new AI infrastructure in the United States.
OpenAI also issued a statement regarding Stargate, stating that the initial equity investors in Stargate include SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX. Among them, SoftBank and OpenAI are the main partners of Stargate, with SoftBank responsible for finance and OpenAI responsible for operations.

In addition to the companies mentioned above, Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Oracle, which have close ties with SoftBank and OpenAI, will also become the main initial technology partners. Oracle, NVIDIA, and OpenAI will work closely together to build and operate Stargate’s computing system. OpenAI will also continue its collaboration with Microsoft, increasing its use of Azure to leverage additional computing power to train leading models and deliver outstanding products and services.
Construction for Stargate is already underway in Texas, and the company is evaluating potential sites for additional campuses across the country. Meanwhile, SoftBank will immediately begin deploying $100 billion to drive The Stargate Project forward. According to OpenAI’s statement, Stargate infrastructure will not only secure America’s leadership in artificial intelligence and create hundreds of thousands of jobs for the American people, but will also provide strategic capabilities to protect the national security of the United States and its allies.
Although I don’t know what everyone thinks about America’s next big plan, Musk seems to have something to say. In a comment on OpenAI’s announcement about The Stargate Project, Musk wrote, “They actually don’t have the money,” and added that according to reliable sources, “SoftBank has less than $10 billion.” In other words, forget $100 billion—SoftBank doesn’t even have $10 billion.
