Following AMD, NVIDIA seems to be under inventory pressure recently and wants to clear out the RTX 30 series as soon as possible. NVIDIA just announced the launch of the RTX 3080 series and RTX 3090 series a few days agoGame bundleLater, the latest rumors pointed out that NVIDIA is also preparing to lower the recommended selling price of RTX 30 series graphics cards. Strictly speaking, this is already underway, and most online shopping platforms have reduced prices.

NVIDIA prepares to lower the recommended selling price of RTX 30 series graphics cards
According to foreign media Wccftech, the initial news of the price reduction was revealed from the Taiwan Benchlife website, which stated that NVIDIA will reduce the price of RTX 30 series high-end graphics cards this week, including RTX 3080 (12GB), RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3090, and RTX 3090 Ti. The RTX 3090 Ti has been reduced the most, from the original price of US$1,999 to US$1,499, which means it is US$500 cheaper.
The RTX 3090 has also been reduced by $200, and the latest price is now $1,299. The RTX 3080 Ti becomes $1,099, and the RTX 3080 (12GB) is $799.

It’s not sure whether this price reduction is limited to NVIDA’s Founders Edition, or includes AIB partners, but this new price can now be seen on multiple foreign online shopping platforms, such as Newegg and BestBuy’s EVGA official stores, but the RTX 3080 has not been updated yet:

Some people may ask, will Taiwan also lower prices? In fact, these graphics cards are sold at similar prices in Taiwan, and some are even cheaper. Below is the latest price information I obtained from PCHOME 24H:
- MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti GAMING X TRIO 24G is available for NT$4,5990, which is about US$1,499
- ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity can be purchased for NT$29,890, which is nearly NT$10,000 cheaper than the US$1,299 abroad.
- ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Trinity OC is available for NT$22,990, which is NT$10,000 cheaper than the overseas price of US$1,099.
- MSI GeForce RTX 3080 VENTUS 3X PLUS 12G OC LHR is available for NT$19,990, which is NT$5,000 cheaper than the overseas price of US$799.
So, I’m not sure whether there will be a lower price. Another thing to remember is that until August 1, 2022, friends who purchase 3080 series and 3090 series graphics cards can redeem 4 games for free, namely “Ghostwire: Tokyo”, “DOOM Eternal” and “DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods”. “DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods” has the first part and the second part.
You may ask, is now the time to buy? I would say that it can indeed be considered. JayzTwoCents, a well-known foreign YouTube channel, also revealed that the RTX 30 series has been discontinued and is fully committed to the production of the RTX 40 series, which means that the inventory will be sold out. Friends who are hesitating highly recommend watching this video:
