YouTube launches the “Clip” function to quickly share the best clips! (teaching)
This is not a fully rolled out feature yet, but for videos on YouTube channels that are already supported, you will be able to see a “Clips” button with a scissors symbol underneath the video between the share and like/dislike buttons. Although this button looks like it is going to cut out other people’s videos, it is actually just a design that changes the original option of sharing the video “at the beginning” to a sharing method that can directly display a specific time segment – the official description is a bit like a GIF with sound.
But to be honest, this function feels a bit like taking notes. Because these created Clips will also be displayed in the “Clips” in the YouTube toolbar (under Watch Later), you can review or share them again at any time. The clip function can also set the title of the clip to make the topic of sharing more clear, and can support the clip range of 5~60 seconds.
